The seventh-floor superior room with its own private balcony was a game-changer for me. The panoramic views of Edinburgh's castle were breathtaking. Plus, the fluffy bathrobes, slippers, and Nespresso coffee machine made me feel pampered.
The decorative pillows in the room were a bit too firm for my liking.

The location couldn't have been better, just across the road from bustling Christmas markets and very close to everything, including the train station which was easy to find. The staff were friendly and efficient.
The breakfast lacked variety.

When I stepped into the room, I felt like a VIP in a luxurious movie set. The spacious and newly refurbished room boasted plush furniture and the fluffiest bathrobes and slippers I've ever seen. It was like being pampered in a five-star spa!

I loved the amazing panoramic view I had from myvery comfy and tidy room at this hotel, also located in a terrific area for access to all the most important tourist attractions in this city. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Its prime location right in the centre of everything makes it a perfect base for exploring all the tourist spots. The staff provides excellent service, and the basic amenities are all you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms with views of Princess Street Gardens and the castle are a real treat, especially if you have a balcony overlooking the castle. Breakfast is included and can be enjoyed with a lovely view of the castle.

The location of Mercure was perfect with a superb view of the castle. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep before starting the day of exploring. The hotel bar had a great atmosphere and enjoyable drinks.

The hotel is in need of a total update, with the bathroom fixtures looking old-fashioned and worn.

Enjoy quality family time taking in the scenic highlands and beautiful public gardens with your kids. The hotel's ideal location allowed us to easily explore the breathtaking natural beauty of the highlands and immerse ourselves in the charming ambiance of the public gardens. It was a perfect setting for creating cherished family memories amidst stunning surroundings.
My wife says that more kid-friendly activities within the hotel would have made the stay even more enjoyable for the children.
